The Gel-Nimbus has become most well-known for the large amount of soft cushion underfoot, and you’ll be happy to know that the 28th iteration maintains this maximum cushion design while making the shoe lighter than ever. Asics combines its plush, luxurious, and lightweight FF BLAST PLUS cushioning with the ultra-soft PureGEL technology in the heel for unmatched comfort and shock absorption, making this a perfect choice for long runs or everyday mileage.

While the midsole and cushioning remain largely unchanged from previous iterations, the Gel-Nimbus 28 does feature some significant upgrades in terms of upper design and construction. The new engineered knit upper is soft and flexible for immediate step-in comfort, and the updated tongue construction fits comfortably and securely around the top of the foot.

Even under the midsole, the Gel-Nimbus 28 takes steps to improve your running experience, offering a hybrid ASICSGRIP and AHARPLUS outsole to optimize versatility and durability. Finally, the Gel-Nimbus 28 takes some massive strides in sustainability, using a high percentage of recycled polyester and bio-based materials in the upper and midsole.
